Cater Group goes into administration

The group operates the Lime Mexican Tapas Restaurant and Bar.

Australian restaurant and cafe collective Cater Group has been placed into administration.

David Henry Sampson and Maxwell William Prentice of BPS Recovery were appointed as administrators according to a notice published on the Australian Securities & Investments Commission website.

Some of the businesses to be affected are Bluey's Nelson Bay, Broughtons at the Bay, Lime Mexican Fortitude Valley, Lime Mexican The Entrance, The Landing (Newcastle), The Point Restaurant, Lime Mexican Coffs Harbour, Lime Mexican Nelson Bay, Lime Newcastle, and Lime Mexican Tapas Restaurant & Bar.

The first meeting of the creditors will be held on 5 June. The purpose of the meeting is to decide whether to appoint a committee of inspection; and if so, who are to be the committee’s members. At the meeting, creditors may also, by resolution, remove the administrator(s) from office and appoint someone else as administrator(s) of the company.
