Piccolo Me parent Fabe buys South Australian chain Bean Bar
This brings the total of 50 sites operated by the group.
Piccolo Me has acquired the South Australian cafe chain, Bean Bar, for an undisclosed amount.
According to the brand’s founders, they have been conducting due diligence on the Bean Bar company since last year.
“The Bean Bar acquisition made sense for us, given that we were looking at establishing a
footprint in South Australia”, said Co-founder and director, Charlie El-Hachem.
The Bean Bar, founded in 2001, is known for its high-quality coffee served hot or on ice. Its menu also includes a variety of breakfast and lunch options and has five sites in Adelaide, four of which are franchised.
The Bean Bar will now be added under the parent company, Fabe (Food and Beverage Enterprises), which owns the Piccolo Me, SolBowl and Go Dark brands.
Following the acquisition, the owners, Nitin Jakhwal, will stay on with Fabe as State Manager, oversee the day-to-day management, support the current franchisees, and work on growing the state.
The group said it has more plans to acquire brands under Fabe.
