German Doner Kebab opens in Metrocentre Shopping Centre
This marks the 143rd restaurant for the chain.
Kebab chain German Doner Kebab has announced that it will open a new restaurant in Metrocentre Shopping Centre.
The opening of GDK Metrocentre, which has a capacity for 42 covers with a 2823 sq ft site, marks the brand’s 143rd franchised location across the UK and the second location within the Newcastle region to date.
“I am thrilled to officially announce plans to bring the unique GDK taste sensation to the Metrocentre Shopping Centre. We pride ourselves in ensuring that kebabs are done right and served in a modern and relaxed environment, making it a unique restaurant experience for all new members of the ever-growing GDK community,” Simon Wallis, CEO of German Doner Kebab, said.
The restaurant will be located on the ground floor of Yellow Mall, opposite the recently upsized Primark, with a takeaway and delivery service for those on the go from the GDK app, Deliveroo, UberEats and Just Eat.
