PizzaExpress launches new delivery platform with Uber Eats

The rollout follows a successful trial last year.

UK-based restaurant group PizzaExpress is launching a new delivery app in partnership with delivery aggregator, Uber Eats.

Called the PizzaExpress Delivers, the new delivery platform will allow customers to place orders on the PizzaExpress website or app. The order will then be delivered by Uber Eats.

The launch comes after a successful trial last year.

Because the app is under PizzaExpress, the PizzaExpress Club loyalty program will be enabled, letting customers receive rewards every time they order.

The collaboration also expands Uber’s Uber Direct offer in the UK which covers restaurants, retailers, and grocers. Uber describes Uber Direct as a ‘white-label delivery-as-a-service’, which is an option to offer delivery using a third party whilst hosting the ordering experience on a brand’s own channels.
