
KFC, Taco Bell operator receives takeover offer
The offer is for $4.45 per share.
Restaurant Brands New Zealand Limited has received a takeover notice under the Takeovers Code from Finaccess Restauración, S.L., giving notice of Finaccess’ intention to make a full takeover to acquire all the ordinary shares in Restaurant Brands that it does not already own, the company said in a bourse filing.
The proposed offer price is NZ$5.05 ($4.45) per share, payable in cash. The takeover notice from Finaccess says that it will not increase this price.
Finaccess currently owns 75.02% of the ordinary shares in Restaurant Brands.
Restaurant Brands is a corporate franchisee and specialises in managing multi-site branded food retail chains. It operates KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut restaurants in different markets. The group operates 72 KFC restaurants in Australia and 11 Taco Bells.
