The Coffee Club taps former RFG group CEO as new CEO
He brings with him experience across various industries.
Minor DKL Food Group, the parent company of The Coffee Club, has announced the appointment of Richard Hinson as the new CEO of The Coffee Club.
Hinson has overseen major transformation and operational programs across petrol and convenience, food and beverage distribution, retail, and franchise sectors. His work spans complex supply chains, high-volume retail, and multi-site hospitality.
He was also previously held the position of group CEO at Retail Food Group, implementing a turnaround strategy that streamlined operations, improved franchisee relations, and boosted profitability across more than 1,000 outlets nationwide.
Hinson will focus on renewing and deepening franchise collaboration, driving operational efficiencies that empower teams, strengthening the brand’s unique culture, and elevating the customer experience.
Another key area of focus is the launch of the new Three Stories Café brand and store rollout.
The first ‘grab & go’ format opened recently at the Mobo corporate building in Tribune Street, South Brisbane, and is proving popular with local office workers for a morning coffee, a quick lunch, and an afternoon treat.
The café features the same Three Stories coffee blend as The Coffee Club, with all food offerings pre-prepped and packaged for speed and convenience. The new model, which can also service office catering, is a key growth opportunity for Minor DKL.
