Starbucks to enter Georgia through Alshaya Group partnership

The first outlets are set to open in summer 2026 in Tbilisi’s Vake district.

Starbucks Coffee Company says it will enter the Georgian market through a partnership with Kuwait-based Alshaya Group.

The first outlets are planned to open in summer 2026 in Tbilisi’s Vake district, on Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue at Axis Towers.

The company also plans to expand into other cities in Georgia after the initial launch.

According to the announcement, the market entry involved support from several Georgian and foreign institutions, including Enterprise Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, the Georgian Embassy in Kuwait, and the Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi (Commercial Consulate).

Starbucks said the rollout will be operated with Alshaya Group, which already runs Starbucks stores across Eurasia and the Middle East.

The group operates more than 800 Starbucks locations in Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan and around 2,000 outlets across 13 markets in total.

The company also stated it will focus on hiring young workers, supporting local initiatives, and participating in environmental programmes in Georgia as part of its operations.
