Starbucks Korea is rolling out its “Ube Basque Cheesecake” to all stores nationwide, expanding beyond an initial limited release.
The dessert, made with ube—a purple yam popular across Southeast Asia, including the Philippines—was first introduced on 14 April in about 100 locations.
Following strong customer response, the company decided to make it available nationwide, citing growing demand for experience-driven food trends.
Ube is known for its mild sweetness, nutty taste, and distinctive purple colour and has recently gained wider global attention in the food and beverage industry.
