Bread Ahead expands to the Philippines with SFRI partnership

SFRI plans to open 15 bakery locations and a bakery school.

Bread Ahead has signed an exclusive franchise partnership in the Philippines with Specialty Food Retailers Inc. (SFRI), marking the brand’s first venture into the continent.

SFRI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Rustan Group of Companies.

SFRI plans to open 15 bakery locations and a bakery school across the territory.

With SFRI’s support, Bread Ahead will bring its bakery experience and workshops to Manila, introducing locals to baking.

Further expansion is also being explored in neighbouring countries.

Since its founding in London in 2013, Bread Ahead has expanded to six UK locations and an international presence.

Its expansion into the Middle East is already underway, with bakeries in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, and it plans to open a total of 35 locations across the GCC region in the coming years.

Bread Ahead was founded by Matthew Jones in 2013. The brand is known for its sourdough bread, doughnuts, viennoiserie, New York-style sourdough pizza, and Baking School.
