Deliverect launches AI tool to combat refund fraud in restaurants

Food tech provider Deliverect announced the launch of Resolve, an AI-powered solution aimed at addressing revenue loss from fraudulent refund claims in the restaurant industry in Australia.

Utilising Google's Gemini models and Vertex AI platform, Resolve employs overhead cameras to monitor the order packing process, generating visual evidence to verify order accuracy and dispute unwarranted refund requests.

According to Deliverect, early adopters of Resolve have reported a 95% refund capture rate and up to 70% protection against revenue loss within the first three months of implementation.

Research done by Deliverect said 30% of refund claims are fraudulent, contributing to 60% of revenue loss due to unjust reimbursement requests.
