Texas Chicken Malaysian new limited-time offer for Lunar New Year

The chain is also releasing its specially designed angpow packets.

This festive Chinese New Year season, Texas Chicken Malaysia has unveiled its special new treat the Red Fortune Chicken.

The Red Fortune Chicken is a spicy marinated chicken tender, hand-breaded and fried to golden brown. Its unique flavour stems from the specially made glaze of an orange-red sauce that has a balanced combination of tomato, chilli, and spices, with a hint of smoke and medium spiciness. 

“Inspired by the fiery energy and majestic red of the Year of the Dragon, we’re spicing up this festive season with a culinary creation that is bound to dazzle— the Texas Chicken Red Fortune Chicken - a dish that is as auspicious as it is delicious. Specially created for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations, this mouth-watering new addition to our menu is our way of joining the festivities. Each bite into this new offering is a blend of tradition and innovation, created to bring joy and good fortune to your table,” Texas Chicken Malaysia’s General Manager, Tham Yue Foon said.

In addition, Texas Chicken Malaysia will also be giving out specially designed dragon-themed angpow packets for free with every Red Fortune Chicken combo meal purchase or a minimum purchase of RM35 ($7.52) in a single receipt.

Ten customers will also stand a chance to win RM100 ($21.48) Texas Chicken vouchers each by participating in the “Snap and Win” contest from 17 January until 7 February 2024. 

Customers will just have to purchase a Red Fortune Chicken combo, take a creative photo of themselves dressed in red enjoying the meal with their friends or family and post it on their Facebook or Instagram with the #RedFortuneFeast hashtag.
