Gong cha to bring Super Wu automation, kiosks to Japan and Korea
The automation system increases productivity during peak hours by 65%.
Gong cha is set to expand its Gong cha 2.0 initiative to Japan and Korea, bringing updated store designs, digital ordering, and beverage automation to its Asian markets.
The global programme, already underway in the US and other international locations, aims to improve operational efficiency, speed of service, and consistency across franchise locations.
Central to the initiative is Super Wu, an automated system that handles tea, syrup, and sweetener dispensing, reducing drink preparation time by nearly a minute and increasing productivity during peak hours by up to 65%.
After a two-year pilot in more than 40 stores across 13 countries, the system is now being implemented globally.
New stores also feature self-order kiosks to streamline the customer experience.
