Gourmet Burger Kitchen sees net profit jump to £2.7m in 2024

This comes after a loss of £3.7m last year.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen reported a profit for the financial period of £2.7m for the 52-week period ended 29 December 2024 to £2.7m following the £3.7m loss last year.

Gross profit for the period was £87.1m compared to £64.9m last year. The group said the acquisitions in the year 2023 resulted in an increase in sales of £19m, sales generated from Slim Chickens sites opened in the year 2024 are £6.5m, and like-for-like sales increased by 4%. The system represents the sum of all sales made by both franchised and corporate stores to consumers in the UK, Europe, UAE and Asia of £266m.

The group added 583 employees during the year.
