All Queensland Carl Jr’s restaurant to remain open—QSR Foods

Read full statement here.

Statement from QSR Foods, the franchise holder for multiple Carl’s Jr. restaurants in Queensland:

All Queensland stores remain open and unaffected by the voluntary administration of Victorian-based CJ’s QSR Group Pty. Ltd., the Australian Master Licensee of Carl’s Jr. Restaurants.

In fact, Queensland's Carl’s Jr. locations have experienced a sales surge following the announcement that more than 20 restaurants across Victoria would close due to the voluntary administration of QSR Group.

Carmen Jennar, Operations Manager at QSR Foods, the franchise holder for multiple Carl’s Jr. restaurants in Queensland, expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering support.

"We've seen a spike in sales, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to all our supporters who are instrumental in preserving 450 jobs."

The Queensland restaurants are all independently owned and operated by third-party sub-licensees, including QSR Foods (which also holds multiple Cinnabon franchises in Queensland). These restaurants will transition to a direct licensed relationship with CKE Restaurant Holdings, Inc. which owns Carl’s Jr. restaurants, as well as Hardee’s Restaurants.

All 450 staff employed in Queensland Carl’s Jr. restaurants will retain their jobs.
