Hungry Jack’s record breaking $2.8m for Make-A-Wish
The chain sold over 316,000 stars for the foundation.
Hungry Jack’s raised a record-breaking $2.8m for Make-A-Wish this year, amounting to a total of $13m since 2017.
The fast food chain sold 316,000 stars nationwide, and over $350,000 was donated by Hungry Jack’s suppliers, which will be given to support the continued granting of life-changing wishes for critically ill children across Australia.
Throughout June, customers supported the fundraising by making donations in-store, via drive-thru and through the Hungry Jack's app. Make-A-Wish CEO, Sally Bateman, is moved by the kindness and support Australians have shown this year.
"The generosity shown by local communities and the dedicated Hungry Jack’s team throughout this campaign has been extraordinary. The incredible amount raised helps us create unforgettable moments for wish children and their families, giving them hope and joy during some of the toughest times imaginable,” Bateman said.
"Every star sold and every dollar donated has gone toward something bigger than any of us. Making a difference is core to who we are at Hungry Jack's, and I couldn't be prouder of our crew, suppliers, franchisees and customers for showing up in such a big way,” Hungry Jack’s CEO Chris Green said.
