Bunsik expands to Southampton with Westquay Food Court opening
The first 100 customers will receive a free corn dog on a first-come, first-served basis.
Korean street food chain Bunsik is set to open a new outlet at Westquay Shopping Centre, its first coastal branch, its first site in Hampshire, and its second in the Southwest.
The restaurant will be located in the centre’s food court and will open on 30 April.
On launch day, the first 100 customers from 11 a.m. will receive a free corn dog on a first-come, first-served basis, alongside a 50% discount on corn dogs throughout the day.
Similar opening-day promotions will run again on 1 May, including another round of free corn dogs and half-price corn dogs.
Discounted items will then continue across the bank holiday weekend: tteokbokki will be half price on 2 May, cupbap on 3 May, and fried chicken on 4–5 May.
The Southampton site is the second for franchise operator Will Bray, following a Bristol opening six months earlier.
Menu items will include corn dogs filled with mozzarella or chicken, tteokbokki (rice cakes in spicy sauce), kimbap, fried chicken, and rice bowls.
Halal meat will be used, and vegetarian options will also be available.
