Caprinos Pizza bets on Detroit-style range for high-footfall growth
The rollout will begin as a trial across 11 sites.
Caprinos Pizza has introduced its first Detroit-style pizza range as it looks to adapt its offer for non-traditional sites such as shopping centres and transport hubs.
The company has developed a proprietary dough recipe designed for on-site pre-baking, with pizzas then finished with sauce and toppings.
The initial lineup includes Cheesy Detroit, Pepperoni Detroit, Asian Style Detroit, BBQ Smash Detroit, Veggie Detroit, Shawarma & Tapenade Detroit, and Hot Honey Pepperoni Detroit.
The format is intended to support a more quick-service-style operation, allowing higher throughput during daytime trade and making the concept more suitable for high-footfall locations such as food markets, hospitals, travel hubs, and malls.
The rollout will begin as a trial across 11 sites, after which the company plans to refine the offer ahead of a wider national launch later in the year.
Caprinos is also considering kiosk-based formats built around the Detroit-style range, which would require lower upfront investment and quicker build times for franchisees.
The initiative forms part of its expansion plan, which targets 200 locations by 2030.
