Dave’s Hot Chicken mulls sale of European franchise—report
The chain’s current franchise owner is Azzurri Group.
Azzurri Group is reportedly preparing to sell the UK and franchise rights of Nashville-style fried chicken chain Dave’s Hot Chicken, according to a report by Bloomberg citing people familiar with the matter.
The British hospitality group previously acquired the rights to Dave’s Hot Chicken’s expansion in Europe last September 2025. The agreement gives Azzurri exclusive rights to roll out the brand in 10 countries: France, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Italy, and Turkey.
Dave’s Hot Chicken is owned by Roark Capital, having bought the company back in June 2025 for an undisclosed amount.
In a previous interview by QSR Media last year, Jim Bitticks, president and chief operating officer at Dave’s Hot Chicken, said they have earmarked China and Southeast Asia as growth markets for their brands.
