Pizza Hut shuts 68 restaurants in the UK
11 delivery-only sites also to close
A total of 68 Pizza Hut dine-in restaurants and 11 delivery outlets in the UK are set to close after franchisee DC London Pie Limited entered administration.
In a statement, the company cited challenging trading conditions, rising costs, and cash flow pressures linked to tax obligations as key factors leading to its collapse.
Meanwhile, Pizza Hut’s US parent company Yum! Brands has acquired 64 sites through a pre-pack administration deal, safeguarding approximately 1,277 jobs.
“This targeted acquisition aims to safeguard our guest experience and protect jobs where possible. Our immediate priority is operational continuity at the acquired locations and supporting colleagues through the transition,” Nicolas Burquier, Managing Director Pizza Hut Europe and Canada, said.
