Taco Bell rings for free tacos in week-long campaign
The campaign will run from 7 to 12 October.
Taco Bell is marking National Taco Day with a week-long national campaign built around the sound of bells.
The campaign invites Australians to Shazam the sound of real and digital bells to redeem a free Taco Supreme.
Bells from landmarks in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth have been recorded and turned into Shazam tracks that unlock the giveaway.
Meanwhile, mobile teams carrying portable speakers and billboards will move through busy areas, playing bell chimes to prompt spontaneous redemptions.
Outside the major cities, a bell melody composed by Sydney-based carillonist Titus Greyner will play in stores and through roaming activations, also allowing customers to Shazam the tune for a free taco.
The campaign, which began on 7 October, will run until 12 October.
