Starbucks taps Braeden Lord as new CEO

Lord is currently the CEO of Gelatissimo.

Starbucks Australia has appointed Braeden Lord as its new CEO effective 25 November.

Lord is the current CEO of gelato chain Gelatissimo. Lord brings with him his extensive experience from leadership roles in 7-Eleven, Grill’d, and Baker’s Delight. Lord also traced a career in Starbucks since 2004, including a directorship since 2015.

Lord succeeds Garlick, who has led the company since 2014 and is now moving to Retail Zoo as CEO.

Under its current ownership, Starbucks Australia has expanded from 24 to 72 stores, with 45 more in development.
