Gong cha reshuffles marketing and regional leadership
New appointments aim to strengthen management and support regional growth.
Gong cha has made several senior leadership changes as it seeks to strengthen its management team and respond to shifting consumer trends in its various markets.
Sepanta Bagherpour has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer for the Americas and EMEA.
He previously spent 13 years at Nando’s North America, where he led marketing, communications, menu, and pricing strategies and oversaw the launch of the company’s first mobile app and loyalty programme.
He also held senior marketing roles at Nando’s South Africa and AMEA, giving him over 20 years of industry experience.
In Japan, Maya Murasawa, formerly Marketing & Menu Development Director, has been promoted to Head of Marketing.
In Korea and the wider APAC region, Jina Chung, previously Marketing Director in South Korea, has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer.
On the operations side, Keaton Myburgh and Jemma Smoker, both previously International Franchise Business Leaders, have been promoted to General Manager for APAC and EMEA, respectively.
Since joining in 2023, they have supported key franchise partners in the Middle East and the UK.
In their new roles, they will work closely with franchisees to maintain operational standards, support store openings, and foster customer loyalty.
