He intends to focus on his other business interests in the United States.
Domino's Pizza Group announced that non-executive vice chairman Colin Halpern will step down from the board at the conclusion of the company's annual general meeting in 2022 to focus on his other business interests in the United States.
Halpern founded Domino's in the UK and Ireland when he acquired the master franchise agreement in 1993 and subsequently led the listing of the company on AIM in 1999 and its move to the main market in 2008.
He initially served as executive chairman and, since 2007, as non-executive vice chairman.
"Colin has been a pivotal figure in the development of the Domino's brand in the UK and Ireland, and it is thanks to his vision that the Company is as strong as it is today. He steps down from the Board with the gratitude of all of us in the business,” chairman Matt Shattock said in a statement.
