Just Eat taps Amazon’s Alexa+ for voice-activated orders

The move builds on the early success of voice ordering within the Just Eat app.

Just Eat Takeaway.com has announced a collaboration with Amazon’s new AI-powered voice assistant, Alexa+.

UK customers will be able to place orders from Just Eat’s 100,000 partner brands using any Alexa+ device, whether for weekend takeaways or midweek grocery top-ups.

The move builds on the early success of voice ordering within the Just Eat app, with research showing 38% of Brits already use smart speakers for questions and recommendations.

The Alexa+ integration allows customers to browse restaurants, explore new dishes, and reorder their favourites through natural conversation.

This partnership adds to ongoing global collaborations between Just Eat and Amazon, including work with Amazon Prime in some European markets.

Just Eat is also testing innovations across the delivery process, including robot-assisted deliveries in the UK.
