Mama Li expands in London with Wood Wharf roast meat spot
The new branch includes a larger dine-in area alongside a takeaway-focused layout.
Cantonese roast meat restaurant Mama Li has opened its third London site in Wood Wharf, Canary Wharf’s newest district.
The restaurant is at 3 Rivington Walk and is offering 50% off all in-store orders on opening day.
The menu centres on Hong Kong–style siu mei, with four core roasts: crispy pork, BBQ pork, soy chicken, and roast duck.
Customers can choose one to three meats with rice and seasonal vegetables, with optional extras such as fried egg or house chilli.
The Canary Wharf site also expands the offering with more soup noodle dishes, including roast duck lai fun and wonton noodle soup, as well as cha chaan teng staples such as bolo bao with butter and scrambled egg with char siu over rice.
Unlike earlier express-format outlets, the new branch includes a larger dine-in area alongside a takeaway-focused layout. More than half of the space is reserved for seating.
The interior was designed with Macaulay Sinclair and draws on Hong Kong café references, mixing nostalgic elements with functional features suited to a high-traffic business district.
The drinks list introduces tea-based cocktails using teas such as jasmine and Assam, replacing bubble tea, and is intended to accompany the roast meat dishes.
