Doughnut bakery chain Rodeo expands to Manchester

The new shop on Stevenson Square is due to open at the end of October.

London bakery chain Rodeo Doughnuts invested £100k to open a store in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, marking its first location in the north of England.

The new shop on Stevenson Square is due to open at the end of October and will serve as the chain’s northern flagship.

Rodeo, which already runs 13 stores across London and the south, says more northern openings are planned.

“We’ve secured a second spot in Manchester and are actively looking at a third,” said Tom Anderson, owner of Rodeo.

The bakery is known for its playful doughnut names, such as Sean Cone-ery, Ice Ice Bae Bae, and David Hasselhoff.

“Flavours change seasonally, and customers can expect special flavours over Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day,” he said. “We also offer an extensive gluten-free and vegan doughnut range.”

Alongside doughnuts, the Manchester store will also sell cookies, takeaway coffee, and other hot and cold drinks—a new addition to Rodeo’s menu.

“We will continue to expand our product range by listening to customer demands,” Anderson said. “Currently, we’re delving into brownies, and plans for more baked products are in the pipeline.”

Founded in 2017, Rodeo is an independently owned doughnut bakery. All doughnuts are made centrally in their dedicated bakery and sold in-store or online.

The chain offers six core flavours, with weekly and seasonal specials, as well as options for weddings, corporate gifts, and a dedicated gluten-free range.
