Melbourne sandwich shop Luke’s Vietnamese announces rebrand
The brand will now be known as Luke’s Bánh Mì.
Vietnamese sandwich shop Luke’s Vietnamese has announced that it will be rebranding to Luke’s Bánh Mì.
Luke’s Bánh Mì will showcase a brand new look with a rebrand and new bakery openings on Clarendon Street in South Melbourne, Bay Street in Port Melbourne and La Trobe Street in Melbourne's CBD by August 2025.
General manager and brand director Christina Murrell said the new look is focused on portraying the cheeky, fun, and playful side of the brand and bánh mì dining experience that would excite and delight their customers just as much as their bánh mì do.
A bánh mì is a sandwich consisting of baguettes traditionally baked with both rice and wheat flour, filled with a variety of ingredients, typically including meat, pickled vegetables, and chili peppers.
Luke’s Bánh Mì was founded by Luke Vu, who opened his first bakery in 2019. Aside from traditional bánh mì, the brand also offers vegetarian options, which make up 30% of the business sales.
