PizzaExpress to launch new menu range as it turns 60
It will be available starting 11 March.
PizzaExpress is set to launch its new menu on 11 March in celebration of its 60th year.
The new range will introduce Queen Margherita, a fresh take on the classic Margherita, topped with an entire ball of creamy burrata, sitting atop garlic and mozzarella.
Additionally, the menu features two new takes on its iconic Dough Balls.
The Blazing Hot Dough Balls, in collaboration with Sauce Shop, are coated in melted garlic butter and packed with the Sauce Shop’s Original Hot Sauce.
For a sweet take, they also have Golden Caramel Chocolate Dough Balls, a dessert paired with salted caramel sauce and caramel chocolate dip, finished with a touch of gold dust.
To further mark the celebrations, the brand has created four dishes in an ode to Italy.
First is the Romana Calabrian Hot, a spicy ‘nduja, pepperoni, hot red chilli, and tomato, finished with a drizzle of hot honey. Next is the Romana Lombardy Speciale, a pizza featuring bresaola, Italian artichokes, and peppery rocket on a bechamel base topped with a truffle and lemon dressing and shavings of Gran Milano.
They also have the Romana Spicy Melanzane, featuring chargrilled aubergines, tomato, garlic, smoky chilli, and jalapeno peppers with a sprinkling of vegan mozzarella. Lastly, the Meatballs Al Forno are tender beef meatballs baked in a rich tomato and garlic sauce with just a hint of chilli, topped with Gran Milano and a side of toasted Dough Sticks.
PizzaExpress has also launched a special range of drinks, including a second collaboration with Meantime Brewing Company, creating the Birthday Brew IPA, which features peachy tropical flavours.
Fans can enjoy PizzaExpress’ set menu, with any starter and classic pizza available for just £19.65 when dining in, as well as a range of delivery bundles available via PizzaExpress Delivers—including the delivery exclusive Double Margherita, featuring two types of mozzarella.
