Greek chain The Yiros Shop enters fried chicken market
The brand is also launching a new flagship in Westfield Chermside.
Greek chain The Yiros Shop is entering the fried chicken market with the launch of its new Greek Fried Chicken.
The chicken will be served as tenders or as a Greek yiros wrap, which also comes in a spicy flavour.
The new menu will be served in either a yiros format or a trio of tenders.
The launch of the new menu coincides with the opening of The Yiros Shop's flagship restaurant in Westfield Chermside. The new restaurant, in partnership with Brisbane interior designer, Alkot Studio, features rose-pink walls, pops of yellow, bleached wood and framed family photos.
Additionally, the brand is also changing the way its operations are run, shifting to a flame-grilled souvla-style cooking system for all its proteins.
“Ten years on, we’re 15 restaurants strong and still reinventing ourselves. Chermside is a line in the sand for our next decade. It’s a flagship restaurant in one of Queensland’s busiest shopping centres, and the debut of a whole new way of doing things,” Nicholas Mitrossilis, founder of The Yiros Shop, said.
The new restaurant and new menu launch this 24 September. The Yiros Shop will hold a special opening promotion of $5 Yiros all day, while stocks last, live music, and giveaways at the restaurant’s location.
