Fireaway floods UK with 5,000 free pizzas to break Blue Monday slump
Registration opened on 12 January via a dedicated sign-up page.
Fireaway has partnered with Coca-Cola to give away 5,000 free pizzas for ‘Blue Monday’.
Blue Monday, the third Monday of January, is dubbed the year's most depressing day. It marks the peak of bleak weather, holiday debt, and failed resolutions. Though originally a marketing stunt, it is now a vital prompt for mental health awareness,
For one week starting 19 January, the pizza chain will be giving away a freshly made Margherita pizza paired with a can of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, completely free, via online collection or delivery (delivery orders subject to a £15 minimum spend).
The campaign will run across all Fireaway restaurants in the UK.
Customers who want to be in with a chance of receiving a free Margherita pizza and Coca-Cola Zero bundle can register from starting 12 January via Fireaway’s Blue Monday sign-up page. Successful entrants will then receive an email containing their unique code, which can be redeemed when ordering via Fireaway’s website or app during the campaign week while stocks last.
“We wanted to cut through that with something simple: good pizza, on us. Partnering with Coca-Cola Zero Sugar to give away 5,000 free pizzas is our way of giving people a small reason to feel good, get out, and enjoy a moment together, because when life happens, we believe pizza helps,” George Whiting, Head of Marketing at Fireaway, said.
