Plant-based fast-food chain Neat Burger goes into liquidation
The company's book value is at £1.28m, as of 2 July.
Neat Burger, a plant-based fast-food chain backed by actor Leonardo DiCaprio and Formula 1 driver Sir Lewis Hamilton, went into liquidation in July, according to filings with the UK’s Companies House.
A declaration of solvency filed by liquidators put the company’s book value at £1.28m, as of 2 July.
The chain last reported full-year accounts in 2023, showing a £7.9m loss for 2022.
“After a year of restrictions and lockdowns in 2021, 2022 began under similarly challenging circumstances,” the company said in its accounts. “The UK encountered further restrictions due to the COVID-19 Omicron variant.”
By the end of April this year, all Neat Burger outlets across the UK had closed.
Neat Burger was founded in September 2019 in London by Tommaso Chiabra and Zack Bishti.
