Papa Johns net loss widens to £22.3m in 2024

This led to the closure of its 74 outlets.

Papa Johns posted a deeper net loss, rising by 20.6% to £22.3m for the year ended 29 December 2024.

Like-for-like system sales across the UK & Ireland declined by 2%.

The company closed 74 outlets and opened just seven, ending the year with 457 UK branches, down from 524 in 2023.

Of these, 444 were franchised, and 13 were operated by the company.

Turnover declined by 7.6% to £88.7m, driven by a decrease in QCC income as a result of the reduction in the number of restaurants.
