The Nero Group reports 13.6% YoY sales growth

Caffè Nero reported sales of £185.4m, up by 11.4%.

The Nero Group reported strong trading for the first half of its financial year from June to November 2024 (FY 2025), achieving 13.6% year-on-year (YoY) sales growth.

Sales for the first half of FY 2025 reached £310m, driven by an 8% increase in like-for-like sales (13.6% overall).

In the UK, Caffè Nero reported sales of £185.4m for the first half, representing an overall growth of 11.4%.

Robust like-for-like sales were experienced in Turkey (12%) and Sweden (9%).

The Nero Group currently operates approximately 1,120 stores across 11 countries with 11,000 employees, serving over 150 million customers a year.

There are 626 Caffe Nero stores in the UK. Caffè Nero’s airport business also continued to move forward, opening two new sites during the period. The group now operates 45 stores in 16 airports.

Despite facing challenging costs in the first half, driven by ongoing inflationary pressures, the Nero Group added 63 stores; 31 were new store openings, and 32 were additional stores gained through the acquisition of the FCB and 200 Degrees businesses.

Of these, 13 new stores opened in the UK and Ireland.
