Leon co-founder launches investment firm to back food businesses

It will invest in sustainable F&B business.

Leon co-founder Henry Dimbleby has launched his investment firm to back food businesses that aims to ‘change the world for the better’.

According to his LinkedIn post, Bramble Partners will be co-investing in ventures across the entire food system, from farm to fork.

Dimbleby said that the current global food system is ‘disastrous’ for both humans and the planet.

“Things have to change – and the good news is, they already are. There are fantastic new businesses springing up, using both cutting-edge technology and old wisdom to create better ways of feeding the world,” Dimbleby said.

“As you may have spotted, I have been banging this drum for a while now – via the National Food Strategy, the School Food Plan, my work at Chefs in Schools and the The Sustainable Restaurant Association, my book, Ravenous, and assorted public campaigns. Now I want to work with a new generation of entrepreneurs to help transform the food system from within. By supporting these pioneers with money and expertise, Bramble will accelerate the change.”

Dimbleby was the co-founder of Leon before it was sold to EG Group.
