Benugo reports historic £123.5m turnover

The group said this is the highest in its 25-year history.

Cafe operator Benugo has reported a turnover of £123.5m for the 52 weeks ending 27 December 2023 compared to £98.7m from a year before, its highest in its 25-year history.

According to the group, it has continued its work of exiting poor-performing locations and working with its key clients to drive mutual benefits, as well as winning new profitable business.

Gross profits reached £44.6m compared to £34.1m from a year before and operating profit surged to £10.7m from £3.7m.

The group attributed its stronger performance in 2023 to its investments in employee training to drive productivity and its drive to be a more streamlined and focussed company.

Benugo operates high-quality cafe delis and restaurants in the high street, public space, and workplace environments.
