Black Sheep Coffee targets Ireland for next franchise expansion
The coffee chain is currently seeking an exclusive franchise partner.
Black Sheep Coffee is targeting Ireland as the next market in its international franchise expansion plans.
After expanding to more than 120 UK locations in seven years and allocating nearly all available franchise territories, the coffee chain is seeking an exclusive franchise partner to oversee its development in Ireland.
The company already operates across the UK, the US, and the Gulf region and has opened two stores in Northern Ireland.
Black Sheep Coffee is looking for an operator with experience managing multiple units or brands in the Irish market to lead the brand's nationwide rollout.
The franchise agreement would cover a range of site formats, including high streets, shopping centres, retail parks, and drive-thru locations.
The move comes as Ireland's coffee market continues to expand, with demand for speciality coffee increasing.
Black Sheep Coffee's menu includes speciality-grade Robusta coffee, matcha drinks, and all-day food.
The company said it has agreed to more than 300 additional UK store deals through multi-unit development agreements with franchise operators across the hospitality, retail, and quick-service restaurant sectors.
With most UK territories now allocated and new stores continuing to open, Black Sheep Coffee is aiming to pursue a similar expansion model in Ireland through a single development partner.
