KFC unveils new era of boneless chicken, store design globally

It is also updating its visual identity, including changes to its bucket design.

KFC is expanding its boneless chicken lineup with new menu items, sauces, and beverages as part of a broader update to its food offerings, restaurant formats, and branding.

In the coming weeks, the company will launch new chicken tenders and nine sauces in the UK and Ireland, alongside refreshed branding across its communications and digital platforms, with similar rollouts planned for Australia and the US before expanding to additional markets through 2026.

The menu changes include boneless chicken products designed for dipping with sauces drawn from a new global range of more than 20 recipes, which can be adapted to local tastes and include flavours such as Chimichurri Ranch and Hot Honey Habanero.

KFC is also expanding its range of sauce-coated products, including tenders, wings, and sandwiches, a format already available in South Africa and India.

The company is also growing its beverage platform, KWENCH by KFC, which includes products such as boba refreshers, milkshakes, sparkling lemonades, and iced coffees.

Following pilot programmes, the drinks range is set to become a permanent menu feature in Australia and Canada this year, whilst selected products are already available in some UK and Ireland locations.

In addition to menu updates, KFC plans to introduce new restaurant designs beginning this summer.

The first locations will include an open-concept restaurant in McKinney, Texas, expected to open in late summer, and a two-story restaurant in Dubai scheduled to open in the fall.

The company said future restaurant openings and remodels will incorporate elements of the new design approach.

KFC is also updating its visual identity, including revisions to its bucket design and the image of founder Colonel Harland Sanders.

The refreshed branding will be introduced across packaging, digital platforms, advertising, and restaurant interiors.
