Popeyes UK launches ‘Popeyes University’ to develop staff pipeline
It will also join the UK Youth Summer Jobs Programme for the first time.
Popeyes UK has introduced “Popeyes University,” a training initiative aimed at staff across its offices and restaurants.
The programme includes a structured career pathway, called the “Louisiana Ladder,” designed to move employees from entry-level roles toward operations management positions.
Alongside this, the company is launching “Brass Roots,” an apprenticeship scheme offering Level 3 and Level 4 hospitality qualifications.
Popeyes plans to recruit 25 apprentices by 2026, with six already enrolled.
The company will also participate in the UK Youth Summer Jobs Programme for the first time.
Running from July to September 2026, the scheme will provide short-term roles intended to help participants prepare for employment.
It includes a one-week paid training course followed by a five-week paid placement.
Popeyes entered the UK in 2021 and has since expanded to more than 110 locations, employing around 3,500 people.
Further growth in the UK and Ireland is planned for 2026.
