Coffee#1 turns 25 with free cake giveaway

A limited-edition “Birthday Fudge Mocha” will also join the menu for the occasion.

Coffee#1 will mark its 25th anniversary on 30 April 2026, reaching a milestone in its expansion across the UK.

The chain was established in 2001 with its first shop on Wood Street in Cardiff.

It has since expanded to more than 132 locations across Southern England, Wales, and the Midlands.

To mark the anniversary, the company plans a one-day in-store promotion on 30 April, where customers who purchase a drink will receive a free slice of cake.

A limited-edition “Birthday Fudge Mocha” will also be added to the menu for the occasion.

The company has also introduced a birthday-themed game through its mobile app, where users can take part for a chance to win various prizes.

The app has more than 600,000 active users, according to the company, and the campaign includes giveaways of free coffee vouchers and loyalty stamps.

Since its launch, Coffee#1 has opened an average of more than five stores per year, including recent openings in Dunstable, West Byfleet, and Oxford.

The company says it expects to continue opening new locations in the next financial year and beyond.
