Starbucks Korea reinvents iced Americano with new ‘Aerocano’
The drink is infused with air for a creamy, smooth finish.
Starbucks Korea will introduce a new iced coffee called ‘Aerocano’ on 26 February, making it the first Starbucks worldwide to offer this version of Americano.
The drink is an Americano with aeration—air injected into the coffee—to produce a creamy foam and a smooth finish.
The foam is designed to balance espresso’s natural bitterness with a lighter, softer texture, offering an alternative to standard iced coffees like Iced Americano and Cold Brew.
Starbucks said it will offer Aerocano year-round.
The move comes as the company continues to expand its coffee menu, which recently added drinks including Flat White, Milk Caramel Latte, Cortado, and Vanilla Latte, alongside staples like Blonde, Decaf, and Cold Brew.
Ahead of the launch, Starbucks will host a promotional event on 25 February at Byeoldabang stores, where the first 100 customers will get a free tall Aerocano.
A second event on 28 February will give the first 10 customers at each Starbucks store nationwide a free tall Aerocano.
Data from Starbucks Korea shows that iced Americanos accounted for more than 70% of all Americano sales every year between 2023 and 2025.
