Premium fast food sushi chain Sushi Sushi has announced the release of its new app and loyalty programme, the Koi Club.
Upon joining, new members get a voucher for a $1 sushi hand roll. The brand plans to use the app to gain insights into customer shopping habits, introduce new initiatives and innovations, track trends, and deliver more personalised offers. The data gathered is intended to support brand growth, strengthen customer loyalty, and drive sustainable business performance.
The launch of the new loyalty programme follows several studies revealing that 77% of consumers believe such programmes will encourage them to revisit their favourite restaurants.
29% of Gen Zs in particular say loyalty rewards or discounts influence their choice of restaurant, compared with 23% of the general population.
In Australia, QSR brands with the best loyalty programmes are McDonald's, Baker's Delight, Subway, and Starbucks.
