TGI Fridays, USR Hospitality partner to open 51 branches across India

Former TGI Fridays President and COO John Neitzel has joined USR to lead the expansion.

Sugarloaf TGIF Management, LLC, which oversees the global TGI Fridays brand, has signed a master franchise deal with USR Hospitality to open 51 restaurants across India.

Along with opening restaurants in malls and on high streets, USR has obtained exclusive rights to operate TGI Fridays locations in airports across India.

Separately, Sugarloaf announced a change in ownership of its franchise operations in the Philippines.

The Bistro Americano Group, which runs TGI Fridays in the country, is now owned by Tennyson Chen of Bounty Fresh.

The group will continue its existing development plan, which includes over 40 locations nationwide.
