Bubba Pizza flew its viral pizza nearly 1,700km to Brisbane for pizza fans who missed out on the treat.
In a report by news.com.au, four friends saw the viral Ham & Orange Pizzas and decided to fly out to Melbourne to try them for themselves. However, it was already sold out, so they had to return without trying the pizzas.
For their efforts, Bubba Pizza decided to send them a taste of the pizza. The brand packed an ‘esky’ (portable cooler) full of half-cooked Ham & Orange pizzas, chilled with ice packs, and sent it, along with a Bubba “delivery flyer’’, on a Jetstar flight to Brisbane.
Once there, the pizzas were fired up in a local oven and hand-delivered to Jaz and his friends.
The Ham & Orange Pizza was first launched in November. It gained media attention when a Reddit post went viral, debating the pros and cons of fruits on a pizza.
