GYG names new co-CEO

This comes amidst plans to launch an IPO.

Guzman y Gomez (GYG) has named Hilton Brett as co-CEO alongside founder Steven Marks.

Brett previously was a partner at TDM Growth Partners, GYG’s biggest shareholder and was a non-executive director on the board of GYG for more than five years.

Brett has had experience in the retail industry, having worked with the Accent Group in 2018.

In May, Steven Marks decided to take a step back from the business and conduct a global search for a new CEO in May.

GYG has 202 restaurants worldwide, predominantly in Australia. It also has operations in Singapore, Japan, and the US.
