Huxtaburger celebrates 4/20 with limited edition hemp-based offering

The burger brand partnered with BUDS for the product launch.

Huxtaburger has launched a limited-edition, hemp inspired burger to celebrate 4/20.

The “Mary Jane” burger features a plant-based patty from the brand’s new partner, BUDS, that is made with a rocket and fennel salad tossed with a house-made zesty, hemp seed oil-based dressing and finished with a sprinkle of hemp seed.

The plant-based item is only available for one week across all of Huxtaburger’s restaurants from April 20.

“Not only is Mary Jane an obvious play on the name BUDS, it’s a burger that uses hemp-based ingredients to give our customers another kind of plant-based pleasure, a delicious tasting burger and a healthier, more sustainable option. With hemp-based products taking over shelves across the globe, why shouldn’t they be in a burger?” brand and marketing manager Adam Katsonis said in a media release.
