Domino’s charity signs one-year partnership with PCYC Queensland

Give for Good committed $40,000 to Braking the Cycle to give fuel for 13 of the program’s locations across the state.

Domino’s registered charity Give for Good announced a one-year partnership with PCYC Queensland’s ‘Braking the Cycle’ program, a driver mentor program supporting learner drivers who do not have access to a supervisor or registered vehicle to complete their logbook hours.

Give for Good committed $40,000 to Braking the Cycle to give fuel for 13 of the program’s locations across the state for the partnership, supporting more than 1,300 participants.

Aside from providing a vehicle and mentor to assist learner drivers in gaining their licence, PCYC Queensland aims to provide increased employment opportunities, driver education, and connection with their local communities.

“Statistics show those with a driver’s licence are highly employable, and suited to driver-based roles, so as Domino’s registered charity, we look forward to connecting graduates with their local Domino’s store to help them on their employment journey,” Give for Good general manager Bronwyn Spencer said in a media release.

PCYC Queensland chief executive officer Phil Schultz added: “In gaining a driver’s licence, more young people have a greater opportunity to gain employment and attend higher education. With the support of Give for Good through this partnership, we know together we can help contribute to the success of even more young Queenslanders across the state, and that’s an exciting prospect.”
