The site is part of an initial 20-store plan across Australia and New Zealand.

Wahlburgers, the fast food chain owned by Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg, has officially opened its first restaurant in Australia.

Initially slated to open in Christmas, the restaurant in Sydney’s Circular Quay seats 250 guests and employs 65 workers.

The site is part of a 20-restaurant plan in Australia and New Zealand between the American chain and local operator United Cinemas, slated to take place over the next 5 years and expected to create over 500 jobs and representing a US$50 million dollar investment.
