Hungry Jack’s inks four-year sponsorship deal with Adelaide Crows

The fast food chain has 54 restaurants across SA and 449 nationally.

Hungry Jack's announced it had signed a four-year sponsorship deal with the Australian Football League’s Adelaide Crows.

The partnership extends support across the Crows’ women’s team and backs the Club’s  South Australian National Football League squad, along with benefits for Crows’ members and fans.

Over the years Hungry Jack’s has given thousands of South Australians their first job and the state is home to its longest serving staff member, Connie Mara, who has been serving up burgers for over 48 years. Connie is followed closely by another three South Australian crew members who have all worked with Jack for more than 30 years. The iconic burger chain first opened in South Australia on Anzac Highway, 11th November 1972.

The fast food chain has 54 restaurants across SA and 449 nationally.

“Hungry Jack’s has been a huge supporter of footy and Australian sport and our players, coaches and staff consider it a privilege to be working with them on a day-to-day basis in the years ahead,” Crows CEO Tim Silvers said in a media release.

Hungry Jack’s founder Jack Cowin added: “AFL fans know Hungry Jack’s has been a lucky charm for the West Coast Eagles and we’re hoping to share some of that luck and magic with the Adelaide Crows. We are settling the battle of the birds as the two teams will fly as one in partnership with us.”

The sponsorship also follows a major infrastructure investment in SA, with the chain recently upgrading all its restaurants in the state with the installation of Jack’s Cafe.

In a previous interview with QSR Media, Hungry Jack’s chief executive officer Chris Green disclosed that suburban and regional locations will play a key role in its race to 700 restaurants in the next five to seven years.
