Five Guys opens first Malaysian restaurant

The chain says the outlet offers halal-certified meat and sauces.

American burger chain Five Guys has made its Malaysian debut, opening a restaurant in Resorts World Genting’s Sky Avenue mall.

The maiden outlet occupies about 2,600 sq ft of space and has the capacity to cater up to 50 customers.

Malaysia is also the latest Southeast Asian country Five Guys expanded to, after establishing outlets in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Five Guys, which was founded in 1986, currently has about 1,700 outlets across the globe.
