This is part of the group’s plans to open 20 restaurants across Ireland.

Pret A Manger has opened its first restaurant in Northern Ireland, claiming the former spot of a rival.

The group’s first Northern Ireland restaurant will be located at Belfast’s Donegall Square West, where rival Patisserie Valerie was once located.

Pret A Manger previously announced it plans to expand to up to 20 restaurants across Ireland after reaching an agreement with franchise partner Carebrook Partnership Ltd.
